I believe that this statement means that if your friends tell you to do something that you know isn’t good, you should not do it. Just because they’re your friends doesn’t mean you should listen to them. If you stand for right you will be the light for others to follow. An example of this is that if your friend told you to do drugs, you should think twice and say “no” because it’s the right thing to do. Even if you’re only the one making that decision, eventually others will follow.
