“My basic principle is that you don’t make decisions because they’re easy; you don’t make them because they are cheap; you don’t make them because they’re popular; you make them because they’re right.” - Theodore Hesburgh
I think that this statement means that when you make a decision, you should pick the one that’s right. You should never pick the one that is wrong. This quote said by the former president of Notre Dame in truthful in the sense on how we should make our decisions. Nowadays everyone is just doing what their friends are doing, regardless if it's right or wrong. This is never the right way to make a choice. We should always make our decisions based on what is right. An example of this can be when your friends are doing something bad and invite you to join in. You should make the right choice and not follow in their path. Another thing the quote is stating is that we should not make choices based on what everyone else is choosing. We should make the right choice 100% of the time because at the end of the day, that bad decision you make will come back to get you
